Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group has decided to introduce the Standard Plan of the organizational capability improvement platform “Wevox” provided by Atrae to approximately 100,000 employees.

The Standard Plan is the highest value and added value plan that can be offered on the organizational capability improvement platform “Wevox”. It allows for continuous, high-quality engagement improvement activities at the organizational, team, and individual levels. In addition to conventional engagement surveys, it enables analysis and utilization of a wide range of data related to the organization, such as organizational culture surveys, individual characteristics, and AI support, which further facilitates mutual understanding and team dialogue, and can be leveraged for daily team building.

Background

In 2020, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, a subsidiary of SMBC Group, introduced Wevox company-wide, visualizing and analyzing employee engagement, and promoting agile organizational development led by frontline staff.

In this context, in its current Mid-Term Management Plan, SMBC Group has set five objectives, one of which is “DE&I/Human Rights,” with a target of “maintaining an engagement score of 70 or higher.” To further improve employee engagement, SMBC Group has decided to introduce Wevox’s Standard Plan to enable each department to achieve better organizational development based on more multifaceted data.

Additionally, through SMBC Wevox Corporation, a joint venture with Atrae, SMBC Group aims to improve organizational development across Japan by providing new cases and know-how on organizational development generated in-house to corporate customers.
